ConceptDraw Smart Objects
Lesson 4. Styles

Prev :: Content :: Next

Sometimes you need to use only objects of one exact type - for example, in a chart or diagram. Sometimes you simply create a good combination of colors, fonts and texture in one object. To save this combination of parameters in ConceptDraw you can use styles.

Define Styles

First, you need to select the chosen shape and then execute Format\Define Styles... menu. Define Styles dialog will appear.

Define Styles Dialog

In this dialog you can define all properties of a new style. First, press Add... to choose the style name. Then you will be able to set all parameters for the line type and ends, fill, shadow, text, paragraph and text block. Use corresponding buttons to set parameters for each category. If you don't want to change the default software settings for a style parameter just unmark the corresponding parameter in Includes column.

Once a style is created you can apply it to any shape in your ConceptDraw document. To do so just select a shape or shapes in your document and choose your style from Style droplist in Formatting toolbar.
