Sometimes, when you use complex objects in your ConceptDraw document, you them to act as one object. To lock all parts of this complex object you can use Protection method from this lesson. But if somebody will select this object he will see the next picture:

Locked Selected

To prevent selecting a part of a complex ConceptDraw object you need to hide the control frame of this object and the control dots.

To hide the control frame and the control dots select an object and press F3 button to open the object tables.

Handles Hide Table

In Miscellaneous table select ObjHandles value cell (TRUE by default) and set it to FALSE. To set the value to FALSE just type 0 in the cell and press Enter. Do it with AlighBox value cell too. Your object in Miscellaneous table will look the following:

Close Tables window. Now your object will look like:

Locked Selected

You still can select a part of an object and resize it or move (if this part isn't locked) but you won't see the control frame. Now your document will look smarter.
