What is ConceptDraw Product Line?
It is a family of graphics productivity software, based around ConceptDraw - powerful vector graphics editor. ConceptDraw Product Line includes applications for drawing and diagramming, creative thinking and mind-mapping, presentations.

Which products does it consist of?
ConceptDraw PRO (Pro versions), ConceptDraw MINDMAP (Personal and Pro versions) and ConceptDraw MEDICAL.

Do all ConceptDraw products share the same file format?
Yes. They all use ConceptDraw file format (.cdd). That means that if you create a document in, say, ConceptDraw 1.x, you will be able to open and edit it in ConceptDraw MINDMAP - and vice versa.
ConceptDraw PRO has a new format, not compatible with other products, however, it allows to save documents in ConceptDraw 1.x format, compatible with other ConceptDraw products.

Is there a free viewer available?
Yes. Those who don't have ConceptDraw, can download a free viewer to view and print documents in ConceptDraw format (that is, documents, created in ConceptDraw 1.x, ConceptDraw MINDMAP, ConceptDraw MEDICAL). The viewer has Windows and Macintosh versions. The viewer currently can't open documents in ConceptDraw PRO format.

Do ConceptDraw Products work on Macintosh?
Yes. Most ConceptDraw Products have Windows and Mac OS versions. Mac version works native on Mac OS X and in classic Mac OS (except for ConceptDraw PRO, which requires Mac OS X 10.1.5 or later).

Can documents created in the Windows version be opened with the Mac version?
Yes. All files (including libraries) are 100% cross-platform and can be exchanged between Windows and Mac versions.

Where are ConceptDraw products available?
ConceptDraw products are available online on www.conceptdraw.com/products/ and from our dealers. Look for a dealer nearest to you here.

How can I order a ConceptDraw product?
Online (with a credit card), or through a dealer nearest to you.

Are all products available for online download and on CD-ROM?
Yes. You may buy online and download the software immediately. When you buy the CD version, a download link is provided as well so you can start working quickly.

Who do I contact if I have a problem with my order?
If you bought online from our site, you may contact us using this form.

Am I registered if I already bought the product?
No. We don't automatically register you. You need to fill out our Registration form.

Why should I register?
To help us help you better. Registered customers get faster tech support, qualify for special discounts on upgrades, and other benefits.

How can I get technical support?
We offer free unlimited technical support via e-mail. If you can't find an answer to your question in the manual or in the FAQ sections, submit your problem here. Normally we reply within the same business day. Make sure you're a registered user to ensure faster service.

Do you offer support by phone?
No, we don't have a support line to call. However, when requesting technical support we recommend that you leave a phone number, so our engineers could get in touch with you faster.

Do I have to pay for support?
No. Our technical support is free.

How can I get my serial number (I lost it)?
Submit your question to tech support here. Don't forget to specify when and where you bought the software so we can serve your faster.

Will I get free updates?
We don't charge money for updates so far.

I don't know English well. Can I write to tech support in some other language?
Yes. You can write in German, French, Spanish, or Russian.

Pricing and availability

I downloaded and installed the Demo version. Is it possible to purchase the serial number and "unlock" this Demo?
No. Demo version can't be unlocked with a key - it's for evaluation purpose only. You'll get a full version when you buy the software.

Do you offer academic discounts?
Yes. We offer discounts to students, teachers, academic and non-profit organizations. Check the requirements here.

I use the program at work. Do I need to buy a separate license for my home computer?
No. You can install the program on your home computer provided you'll be the only user of it.

Troubleshooting

I bought and downloaded the full Mac version and got a file with .CGI extension. I don't know what to do with it.
This sometimes happen - the browsers on the Mac sometimes don't handle filenames correctly. Just drag this file over the StuffIt expander icon and it will extract into the ConceptDraw installer.

I downloaded the update and it doesn't take in my serial number.
Check whether you downloaded the right version. If you had the Standard version of ConceptDraw, and downloaded the update for Professional version, it won't work, and vice versa.

The program says I have an old version of CarbonLib. What should I do?
This may happen under Mac OS earlier than 9.2. You can download fresh version of CarbonLib from our Web site. To replace your existing CarbonLib with the new version, reboot your Mac with Shift held down (to turn off extensions), and copy the new CarbonLib into the Extensions folder inside the System Folder. Accept the Overwrite? message if it appears. Reboot again with extensions enabled - everything should work fine.

I have skipped several updates. How do I update to the latest version?
If your version is quite old, we recommend that you contact our technical support and they will provide you a link to download the full new version.
