When Apple launched Leopard we decided to make ConceptDraw 7 look and feel even better than it used to be. Based on your feedbacks on application usability we’ve taken ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5.2 interface concept as a starting point and released the newest version ConceptDraw 7.5 . The release features important changes to user interface that significantly speed up your work as well as make application Leopard styled.
New handy Libraries Pane added in ConceptDraw 7.5 features multiple tabs that simplifies access to more than 300 collections of built in graphics. It gives you the ability to manage already opened shapes libraries and to find the required objects. You may find all open libraries on a Libraries Pane and you need to click one to access the whole content.
Page Navigator now can be opened separately from the Libraries Pane. At the bottom of the screen we have added a new panel that displays previews of all document pages. We have added reflection to previews to make Page Navigator more stylish. Also ConceptDraw 7.5 features a long awaited Audio and Video clipart set. It contains a large number of beautiful vector images that enable you to illustrate documents and make them more impressive.

Today it’s time to present you ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5.2, the newest version of our beloved mind mapping business productivity software. Sure thing it adds Mac OS X 10.5 compatibility awaited by many of you for but this is not the main news.
Main news is that new version covers
1. Quick Look technology support (only for happy Leopard owners).
It gives you an opportunity to preview maps in Finder without actually opening them in the application. This can be very useful especially when navigating through files using the new Finder Cover Flow feature.
2. Significantly renewed user interface that makes application much more stylish and easier to use.
Leopard look-and-feel standards are replicated thanks to a new handy Clipart Library control that allows to open several libraries at a moment, modified Page Navigator that adds map previews’ reflection and a floating toolbar containing all of the ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5 tools.
3. Integration with the iCal that should have been added long time ago (this one is for Leopard users only too).
Because of the importance of iCal for personal task planning, ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5.2 introduces the ability to export information concerning tasks and events in a mind map into iCal.
4. Auto arrangement topic layout mode.
To avoid the mess your beautiful mind map can turn on to after deleting and resizing several topics, we are introducing an automatic topic placement mode that allows application to reposition topics after deletion, insertion and resizing operations. You can easily turn it off thus switching into existing freehand topic placement mode.
Please leave your comments below this beautiful screenshot since your opinion is very important for us!

Last Friday Apple released a long-awaited Leopard OS. That’s why our QA team spent a weekend at the office testing our applications for compatibility with final version of Mac OS X 10.5 while our development team was working on the changes needed to resolve discovered issues.
As a result we are starting to publish updates to our product line: diagramming application ConceptDraw 7 is updated today while project management tool ConceptDraw Project 4 and mind mapping software ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5 will become Leopard compatible tomorrow. If you plan to use Leopard or have been already using it please make sure that you’ve downloaded a needed update because previous versions of ConceptDraw Business Suite products do not work with Apple latest OS.
The reason why we release Leopard compatible versions only now when Leopard is more than 3 days out, especially when many other companies announced Leopard compatibility several weeks ago, is that we think that all our applications should be tested properly on the final build of the OS, not on the developers beta version.
Today we are updating our main product ConceptDraw 7 with Mac OS X 10.5 version and Quick Look technology support. The upgrade is free of charge for registered users of ConceptDraw 7 and free to try for everyone else. You can download it here.
Tomorrow we will update ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5 and ConceptDraw Project so see you later!
It’s the first blog post for more than two weeks, because we’ve been working hard on the update to our mind mapping package ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5. As a result ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5.1 is in public access and ready for download.
The main focus of this update was application speed and our development team greatly succeeded in boosting application performance. Many bugs were found and fixed and now ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5 is pretty fast and stable.
There was only one feature added with this release but its importance is very high. I think almost anyone loses sometimes all his work as a result of some accident when he forgets to save the file created. Auto save facility introduced with ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5.1 enables users to restore their documents in case application was closed unproperly.
Fell free to post any comments or feedbacks regarding ConceptDraw MINDMAP 5.1 here or at our forum.
As was announced two weeks ago today we’ve released an update to our major (older, bigger, expensive an so on
) product ConceptDraw 7.3.
ConceptDraw 7.3 provides as always our existing customers and newcomers with new features and with not seen by an eye improvements as well. The list of big features is as follows:
- - Presentation mode
- - MS Powerpoint export
- - Dynamic help (was introduced in ConceptDraw 7.2 on Mac and now availiable on a PC)
- - Improved HTML export (same as above)
- - 100 times faster MS Visio XML import
As you can see the first part of the improvements is intended to help people who use ConceptDraw for preparing presentations, while another one provides our Windows customers with capabilities that have been extensively used by our Mac users already. I’d recommend you to learn more about ConceptDraw 7 capabilities including those added in version 7.3 before downloading it, since there are many interesting things you could miss when exploring the software on your own.
ConceptDraw 7.3 is free-to-use for all existing customers of ConceptDraw 7.x and free-to-try for anyone else. And of course we highly appreciate your feedback: ConceptDraw development team waits for comments and opinions regarding the new version!
We have been waiting for the release of ConceptDraw Project 4 almost a year. The new version was carefully planned basing on our customer’s requests and trying even to forestall them, adding more power and
capabilities to our product.
That’s why ConceptDraw Project 4 arrives today! It brings new powerful resource management features, tabbed user interface and more options for formatting text in tasks and notes. You can read detailed description of all new functions available in ConceptDraw Project 4 in our web site while I will highlight just “Resource Usage View”, because I was waiting that feature for a very long time.
The “Resource Usage View” in ConceptDraw Project 4 permits project managers to quickly ascertain an accurate view of resource loading and task allocation for each available resource. It shows the project data in a clear, compelling visual presentation displaying a color-coded representation of resource usage; possible areas of potential resource misalignment are highlighted for clear viewing. For my opinion, “Resource Usage View” is an essential tool for quickly finding over and under allocated workers and then being able to precisely balance against the project requirements.
So, I think new version of ConceptDraw Project is a project management software that you would like to try.
By the way, if you were lucky enough to buy ConceptDraw Project 3 anytime after August 15, 2007, you are eligible to receive a no cost upgrade to ConceptDraw Project 4.

Today we are finally releasing our web-based visual logic game Aha!. We have spent several weeks to make it run smoothly on your iPhones and succeeded in this mission.
What is Aha! game? “The Aha! game is easy to play but challenging game that features two different skins with attractive animations, adjustable difficulty levels and a high entertainment value,” - says official ConceptDraw Lab press release and it is definitely true. The game play is simple - look for groups of identical objects and remove them from a screen getting score points. Some times it’s better to clear small group of objects in strive to get a large group to remove at the next turn.
