Example 1. Home Appliances in Home Designs
Electrical appliances use the AC from the outlets and are connected in a parallel arrangement in a house circuit because each of them requires a full voltage. A single electric power source supplies all appliances and lights within a home with the same voltage. However, it is recommended to use several separate circuits in a home or apartment to arrange the load. At the same time, all appliances are independent, we can use only what we need at the moment and if one of the appliances is unplugged or broken, it does not affect the working of the other ones. When one light burns out or some appliance is broken, current still flows through the other lights and appliances in a given building or premise. The only incident that can fall down the entire system is a short circuit when the voltage drops to almost zero.
Sometimes the appliances are interconnected and controlled by a unified home automation system, which turns a home into an intelligent home or smart home. The home automation system controls and manages all appliances, lighting, air conditioning, heating, and other systems within a home using computers and other specialized technical devices, solid-state circuitries, microchips, voice synthesis technologies, etc. The appliances are managed from mobile applications remotely via the Internet or directly by voice commands, they are interconnected and communicate with each other.
