How To Create Root Cause Analysis Diagram Using Solutions

Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is a technique that helps people find out the reason for the occurrence of the problem. It is used to identify the cause of a problem using a special set of steps, to find the root cause of the problem. It helps to determine what has happened, why the problem took place and reduce the probability of the problem recurrence. Root Cause Analysis (RCA) diagram displays the structure of causes for a factor and possible corrective actions. A diagram is constructed separately for each high priority factor. Analyze the root causes of factors that influence the problem. Identify the root causes for a factor and then propose possible corrective actions. The ability to create an RCA tree diagram from a mind map is supported by the Seven Management and Planning Tools solution. This solution is installed for both ConceptDraw MINDMAP and ConceptDraw DIAGRAM.

1. Run ConceptDraw STORE.
2. Discover the “Seven Management and Planning Tools” item in the Management area of the Solutions tab.
3. Click the preview of Root Cause Diagram mind map template to open it in MINDMAP.

4. Develop the Root Cause Analysis mind map. Apply appropriate topic types to topics of factors, causes and corrective actions.

5. Activate the Outputs functionality using Options (Windows), or Preferences (macOS).

6. Use Output Root Cause Diagram to create a diagram from mind map.

7. Root Cause diagram is generated based on the mind map structure through ConceptDraw DIAGRAM, and instantly opens in a presentation view.

Result: The Root Cause Analysis tree diagram is used for further formulation of actions.
