How To Create the Interaction (Relations) Diagram

The Relation diagram shows how factors influence each other. Factors mostly influencing called “Drivers” Primarily affected factors called “Indicators”. Problem solving further focuses on changing driver factors by corrective actions. Indicator factors help establish KPI (Key Performance Indicators) to monitor changes and the effectiveness of corrective actions in resolving a problem. The ability to create a Relations diagram from a mind map is supported by the Seven Management and Planning Tools solution. This solution is installed for both ConceptDraw MINDMAP and ConceptDraw DIAGRAM.

1. Run ConceptDraw STORE.
2. Discover the “Seven Management and Planning Tools” item in the Management area of the Solutions tab.
3. Click the preview of Relations Diagram mind map template to open it in MINDMAP. This template opens in a Brainstorm mode.

4. Build a mind map that collects all factors affecting problem and links between factors. Apply appropriate topic types to topics represented problems and factors.

5. Activate the Outputs functionality using Options (Windows), or Preferences (macOS).

6. Use Output Relations Diagram to create a diagram from mind map.

7. Relations diagram is generated based on the mind map structure through ConceptDraw DIAGRAM, and instantly opens in a presentation view.

Result: Now you are ready to define factors-drivers and factors-indicators.
