How To Create a Workflow Diagram in Visio

A workflow diagram shows a working process as a set of related events that follow each other in a particular order. They are usually created as flowcharts, with shapes that represent steps in the process connected by arrows that indicate the next step. Making a business process diagram involves many elements that can be managed using ConceptDraw DIAGRAM. The ability to design workflow diagrams is delivered by the Workflow Diagrams solution. ConceptDraw DIAGRAM supports export to MS Visio 2013 files (VSDX). This allows you to exchange your business documentation with MS Visio users.

1. Run ConceptDraw DIAGRAM.
2. Click the File menu, then select “New”.
3. Select Workflow diagrams library from the left-hand Libraries panel and drag the workflow shapes to add them to the blank drawing canvas making a workflow diagram. Add as many shapes as should appear in your workflow diagram.

4. Double-click the object and type the text to be added to the object.

5. Select Smart or Direct connector. To connect elements using these tools, drag the connector from one connect the dot to another.

6. Now you have a Workflow diagram, created with ConceptDraw DIAGRAM.
7. From the File menu, select Export. Next, select Microsoft Visio 2013 (VSDX). Click “Ok”.
