How to Draw a Histogram

A histogram is a graph where data is broken into intervals. A histogram is drawn with rectangles (3D blocks etc) side by side with the area of each rectangle being proportional to the frequency of the observations falling into the corresponding interval. ConceptDraw DIAGRAM allows you to draw a histogram using the Histograms solution.

1. Run ConceptDraw DIAGRAM.
2. Find the Histograms item in the Solutions panel.
3. Click the library preview to open it in the Library panel.
4. Add the histogram to the diagram by dragging it from the library to the document page.

5. To make changes in your chart use the Action button menu. To open the menu select an object and click the  button in the upper right corner of the object.

6. Use the table to enter values and name categories. Select it in the table, type the new value and a column height or category label will be automatically changed.

7. Use the yellow control points to move certain elements of the chart.

Result: As you see, histograms are useful to compare data for several individual items. This frequency diagram is created to visualize and analyze the process of website page load time.
