How to Draw a Process Flow Diagram

Process Flow diagrams (PFD) are used in chemical and process engineering. These diagrams show the flow of chemicals and the equipment involved in the process. ConceptDraw DIAGRAM allows you to draw the Process Flow diagram easily using the Chemical and Process Engineering solution.

1. Run ConceptDraw DIAGRAM.
2. Reveal Chemical and Process Engineering item in the Solutions panel.
3. Click the preview of a needed library to open it. Now you have a workspace and a set of corresponding libraries.
4. Add the process flow elements to the diagram by dragging them from libraries to the document page.

5. Customize an appearence of objects by changing line and fill color using Format panel.

6. Select the Smart Connector tool . To connect elements using this tool, drag the connector from one connect dot to another.

7. Add text to your drawing. Select any object, even connector and start typing.

Result: A Process Flow Diagram shows the general view of the process and can be used for visitor information and new employee training.
