How to Diagram Sentences

1. Open a ConceptDraw DIAGRAM new document.
2. Open the Sentence diagrams library. Find it in the Language Learning solution.
3. Add the sentence diagram components to the drawing by dragging them from the library to the document page. Start with a short horizontal line with a vertical line in the center.
4. Write a predicate to the right of the line, and subject — from the left. Use the Action button menu to change diagram objects. To open the menu select an object and click the  button in the upper right corner of the object.

5. Draw a diagonal line from the subject. Write down any definition of the subject. Select the line and type.

6. Denote objects of preposition using horizontal lines. Connect lines to each other using control dots.

7. Connect parts of a compound sentence and specify the conjunction. Use control dots to resize the diagram elements.
