How to Create a Picture Graph in ConceptDraw PRO
Picture Graphs are used commonly to represent non-complex data to a large audience. A Picture Graph is simple kind of marketing diagram used to show the relationship among various quantities. It include pictures or symbols to represent information visually. There are many cases when you have just some numbers to show and compare. This is not a reason to not use visual tools. You can produce a simple picture graph using memorable symbols to get the best visual presentation. Using specific symbols instead of regular colored bars makes picture graphs a much more descriptive tool. You can use tools from an existing library or find appropriate clipart in ConceptDraw’s collection. ConceptDraw PRO allows you to draw a simple and easy to understand Graph Charts using the special library."Pictorial bar graph.
Sometimes reffered to as a pictographs. A pictorial bar graph is a graph in which the rectangular bars have been filled with pictures, sketches, icons, etc. or where pictures, sketches, icons, etc. have been substituted for the rectangular bars. In both variations, one or more symbols might be used in each bar. The two major reasons for using pictorial graphs are to make the graph more appealing visually and to facilitate better communications." [Information Graphics: A Comprehensive Illustrated Reference. How to Draw a Line Graph
In your work activity you need regularly draw the line graphs? And each time you ask yourself a question "How to Draw a Line Graph easier and faster?". The desire to automate the line graphs drawing process led to the creation of Line Graphs solution from Graphs and Charts area of ConceptDraw Solution Park."A chart can take a large variety of forms, however there are common features that provide the chart with its ability to extract meaning from data.
Typically the data in a chart is represented graphically, since humans are generally able to infer meaning from pictures quicker than from text. Text is generally used only to annotate the data.
One of the more important uses of text in a graph is the title. A graph's title usually appears above the main graphic and provides a succinct description of what the data in the graph refers to.
Dimensions in the data are often displayed on axes. If a horizontal and a vertical axis are used, they are usually referred to as the x-axis and y-axis respectively. Each axis will have a scale, denoted by periodic graduations and usually accompanied by numerical or categorical indications. Each axis will typically also have a label displayed outside or beside it, briefly describing the dimension represented. If the scale is numerical, the label will often be suffixed with the unit of that scale in parentheses. ...
Within the graph a grid of lines may appear to aid in the visual alignment of data. The grid can be enhanced by visually emphasizing the lines at regular or significant graduations. The emphasized lines are then called major grid lines and the remainder are minor grid lines.
The data of a chart can appear in all manner of formats, and may include individual textual labels describing the datum associated with the indicated position in the chart. The data may appear as dots or shapes, connected or unconnected, and in any combination of colors and patterns. Inferences or points of interest can be overlaid directly on the graph to further aid information extraction.
When the data appearing in a chart contains multiple variables, the chart may include a legend (also known as a key). A legend contains a list of the variables appearing in the chart and an example of their appearance. This information allows the data from each variable to be identified in the chart." [Chart. "A line chart or line graph is a type of chart which displays information as a series of data points connected by straight line segments. It is a basic type of chart common in many fields. It is similar to a scatter plot except that the measurement points are ordered (typically by their x-axis value) and joined with straight line segments. A line chart is often used to visualize a trend in data over intervals of time – a time series – thus the line is often drawn chronologically." [Line chart. Wikipedia]

This vector stencils library contains 6 templates of scatter graphs.
The scatter graph (scattergraph. scatter chart, scatter plot, scatterplot, scatter diagram) is used for visual analysis of correlation or dependence between two variables.
"In statistics, dependence is any statistical relationship between two random variables or two sets of data. Correlation refers to any of a broad class of statistical relationships involving dependence.
Familiar examples of dependent phenomena include the correlation between the physical statures of parents and their offspring, and the correlation between the demand for a product and its price. Correlations are useful because they can indicate a predictive relationship that can be exploited in practice. For example, an electrical utility may produce less power on a mild day based on the correlation between electricity demand and weather. In this example there is a causal relationship, because extreme weather causes people to use more electricity for heating or cooling; however, statistical dependence is not sufficient to demonstrate the presence of such a causal relationship (i.e., correlation does not imply causation).
Formally, dependence refers to any situation in which random variables do not satisfy a mathematical condition of probabilistic independence. In loose usage, correlation can refer to any departure of two or more random variables from independence, but technically it refers to any of several more specialized types of relationship between mean values."
