How to Create a House of Quality Diagram
The House of Quality diagram is a part of quality function deployment method (QFD) designed by Japanese planning specialists to help turn customer requirements (voice of the customer) into technical features of a final product. The House of Quality solution for ConceptDraw DIAGRAM is a tool for designing HOQ diagrams. There are 2 libraries containing 54 vector stencils you can use to create House of Quality diagrams of any type. This house of quality matrix template was designed on the base of the Wikimedia Commons file: House of quality 9 step.png.

"Product Design. Initially, information about customer requirements must be collected. Once done, these should be converted into qualitative properties in the form of design. A tool used to facilitate this is the House of Quality, which is based on a number of processes that generally follow the list below.
1. Customer characteristics
2. Priorities of customer characteristics (scale 1-5)
3. Technical characteristics
4. Relationships between customer and technical characteristics (1.3.9)
5. Competing products
6. Rating of products on the market by customer characteristics (scale 1-5)
7. Rating of products on the market by technical characteristics (scale 1-5)
8. Rating and comparison of measurable values for product properties
9. The tool converts the information into measurable results
Then a more precise requirement specification can be made. Where product requirements and technical characteristics are developed in detail." [sv.wikipedia.org/ wiki/ Quality_ function_ deployment]

"Building a House of Quality
Quality function deployment starts with a list of goals/ objectives. This list is often referred as the WHATs that a customer needs or expects in a particular product. This list of primary customer requirements is usually vague and very general in nature. Further definition is accomplished by defining a new, more detailed list of secondary customer requirements needed to support the primary customer requirements. In other words, a primary customer requirement may encompass numerous secondary customer requirements.
Let us consider the development process of designing a handlebar stem for a bicycle.
Let us assume that there are two primary customer requirements, viz. aesthetics and performance. The secondary customer requirements under aesthetics are affordable cost, aerodynamic look, proper finish, and corrosion resistance. The secondary customer requirements under performance are light weight, strength, and durability. This is illustrated in the QFD or House of Quality diagram (Figure 3-2)." House of Quality
House of Quality solution extends the ConceptDraw DIAGRAM software with powerful drawing tools, numerous specific samples and examples, and set of vector design elements of House of Quality shapes and symbols, which will help you in application the Quality function deployment (QFD) methodology and in easy creation the House of Quality Matrices intended for satisfaction the consumers’ desires and requirements, for representing them in a visual way and then transformation into the targets and technical requirements to be followed for development the best products.
House of Quality
The output of the house of quality can be a matrix that can be created with the help of both ConceptDraw DIAGRAM and ConceptDraw STORE applications. Both of them can be always downloaded from this site and used for creating the HOQ diagrams and HOQ matrices. Having the House of Quality solution from the ConceptDraw STORE application might result in great looking drawings as it offers two stencil libraries to use the design elements from.Quality Management
Quality management is what most of the managers, who are responsible for the product development and production, should know. It ensures that some particular product (or service, or even an organization) is consistent. Quality management has four main components, which are quality planning, quality improvement, quality assurance and quality control. Being focused not only on either product or service quality but also on the available means to achieve it, quality management uses both quality assurance and control of the processes and products in order to achieve the needed quality. Flowchart of Products Flowchart Examples
This sample shows the Flowchart of the Sustainment and Disposal.
A Flowchart is a graphically representation of the process that step-by-step lead to the solution the problem. The geometric figures on the Flowchart represent the steps of the process and are connected with arrows that show the sequence of the actions. The Flowcharts are widely used in engineering, architecture, science, analytics, government, politics, business, marketing, manufacturing, administration, etc.
Quality Control
Quality control can separate the act of testing different products for uncovering the defects from the decision in order to deny or allow any product release, which may be determined by different fiscal constraints. Quality control issues are known to be among the top reasons for not renewing the contracts and, thus, they have to be taken into consideration while working on some project.Product Planning
Any product planning matrix can be also named as the house of quality. Being a matrix that can organize all the needed customer requirements as well as the product design ones into some particular structure and analyze the interactions between such requirements, a product planning matrix can be created with the help of ConceptDraw DIAGRAM diagramming and drawing software with the help of the House of Quality solution that is the one which contains all the needed tools, such as the design elements and the pre-made templates to complete the drawing within a short period of time.TQM Diagram Tool

Having both mentioned tools anyone can make all the needed thematic drawings, such as the QFD diagrams and other HOQ ones, such as the HOQ matrices. Having the House of Quality solution downloaded from the ConceptDraw STORE application means having all the needed tools for creating the House of Quality drawings either using the design elements from one of two stencil libraries, such as a “House of Quality Symbols” one, or by having the pre-made templates as the drafts for creating the unique matrices and diagrams.- Competitor Analysis | House of Quality - customer's competitive ...
