House of Quality

The output of the house of quality can be a matrix that can be created with the help of both ConceptDraw PRO and ConceptDraw STORE applications. Both of them can be always downloaded from this site and used for creating the HOQ diagrams and HOQ matrices. Having the House of Quality solution from the ConceptDraw STORE application might result in great looking drawings as it offers two stencil libraries to use the design elements from.

Interactive Voice Response Diagrams solution extends ConceptDraw PRO v10 software with samples, templates and libraries of ready-to-use vector stencils that help create Interactive Voice Response (IVR) diagrams illustrating in details a work of interactive voice response system, the IVR system’s logical and physical structure, Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) diagrams, and Action VoIP diagrams with representing voice actions on them, to visualize how the computers interact with callers through voice recognition and dual-tone multi-frequency signaling (DTMF) keypad inputs.

Quality Function Deployment

There are many different methods used in the product engineering field of business activity, such as the Quality function deployment one. It was developed in Japan in order to help transform the so-called “voice of the customer”, or simply “VOC”, into some particular engineering characteristics for a product.

House of Quality solution provides the powerful drawing tools, numerous specific samples and examples, and set of vector design elements of House of Quality shapes and symbols, which will help you in application the Quality function deployment (QFD) methodology and in easy creation the House of Quality Matrices intended for satisfaction the consumers' desires and requirements, for representing them in a visual way and then transformation into the targets and technical requirements to be followed for development the best products.
This house of quality sample illustrates competative assessment of voice of the customer (VOC).
It was designed on the base of the figure 3-6 in Lecture "How QFD helps in product quality improvement?" from the website of National Programme on Technology Enhanced

"The customer’s competitive assessment (Figure 3-6) is a pair of table (or graph) that depicts how competitive products compare with current organization product status on specific VOC. The customer competitive assessment is the block of columns corresponding to each customer requirement in the house of quality on the right side of the relationship matrix, The numbers 1 through 5 are listed in the competitive evaluation column to indicate a rating of 1 for worst and 5 for best. The customer competitive assessment is a good way to determine if the customer voice has been met (as compared to best competitor) and identify areas to improvement for future design." IVR Systems

ConceptDraw PRO extended with Interactive Voice Response Diagrams Solution from the Computer and Networks Area enables to make quick and effective drawing the IVR diagrams describing the IVR systems of any complexity quick and effective.

Interactive voice response (IVR) networks. Computer and Network Examples

Interactive Voice Response (IVR) is a system of the prerecorded voice messages that allows a computer to interact with humans. IVR performs the function of the routing calls within a call center, using the information entered by the customer on the phone keypad in the touchtone mode. This example was created in ConceptDraw PRO using the Computer and Networks Area of ConceptDraw Solution Park and show the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) network.

Product Planning

Any product planning matrix can be also named as the "house of quality". Being a matrix that can organize all the needed customer requirements as well as the product design ones into some particular structure and analyze the interactions between such requirements, a product planning matrix can be created with the help of ConceptDraw PRO diagramming and drawing software with the help of the House of Quality solution that is the one which contains all the needed tools, such as the design elements and the pre-made templates to complete the drawing within a short period of time.

Use this scrum clip art set to design your agile software development diagrams and infographics.
"Scrum is an iterative and incremental agile software development framework for managing product development. It ... enables teams to self-organize by encouraging physical co-location or close online collaboration of all team members, as well as daily face-to-face communication among all team members and disciplines in the project.
A key principle of scrum is its recognition that during production processes, the customers can change their minds about what they want and need (often called requirements volatility), and that unpredicted challenges cannot be easily addressed in a traditional predictive or planned manner. As such, scrum adopts an empirical approach — accepting that the problem cannot be fully understood or defined, focusing instead on maximizing the team's ability to deliver quickly, to respond to emerging requirements and to adapt to evolving technologies and changes in market conditions." "As the customer needs and expectations are expressed in terms of customer requirements, the QFD team needs to come up with engineering characteristics (HOW’s) that will affect one or more of the customer requirements. Each engineering characteristic must directly affect a customer perception (VOC) and be expressed in measurable terms.
Implementation of the customer requirements in design is difficult until they are translated into counterpart technical characteristics. Counterpart technical characteristics are an expression of the voice of the customer in technical language and specifications. For example, a customer requirement for an automobile might be a smooth ride. This is rather an abstract statement, which is important from the point of view of selling an automobile. Technical characteristics for a smooth ride can be appropriate dampening, anti-roll, and stability requirements. These are the primary technical descriptors or characteristics. Engineering knowledge and brainstorming among engineering staff’s is a suggested method for determining technical characteristics. Figure 3-3 shows the different technical requirements which can address all VOC for the bike stem design." [nptel.ac.in/ courses/ 110101010/ modules/ module3/ lec1/ 1.5.html]
