Project Reports — Project Finish
Today the competition in business is mainly carried at the level of projects, not companies. The company’s success is determined by the quality and profitability of its projects. The main goal of project management is the achievement of desired results at the planned terms, with a specified budget and required quality.
Any project is characterized by the existence of certain key characteristics. First, it is limited in time and obligatory involves achievement the defined end result. A moment of project completion is a time when the main goal is achieved. The project’s time resources can be set randomly with regard to complexity, financial capacities and other factors, as well as may depend on external circumstances and conditions. The next attribute that characterizes a project is a limit of financial resources, because each project requires finances for its implementation and their quantity is always limited.
All listed characteristics are closely interrelated with each other. Namely, the availability of significant resources often allows realizing the project in shorter terms and increasing the quality requirements, the limit of resources on the contrary causes the reducing of requirements for quality. The more compressed terms require more financial resources, the higher quality requires more time and probably increasing the costs. The main task of successful project management is to achieve the necessary balance between these parameters and maintain it during the period of project implementation.
The monitoring of implementation at every stage is also quite important for the implementation of any project. Different types of reports actively and successfully help in this process.
